MARKET ACCESS DIRECTOR

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • University degree in sciences (MD, Pharmacist)
  • Good pharmaceutical Industry experience and knowledge: Market Access, Public Affairs;
  • Understanding of drug development process and working in an international matrix team environment;
  • Well developed understanding of and experience in regulatory environment product pricing, reimbursement and health economics;
  • Very good English skills;
  • Negotiation skills and flexibility – Proven ability to react to rapidly changing priorities

EXPECTED AREA OF COMPETENCE:

Leading market access functions at the forefront of driving business strategy and implementation. Translate strategies into tactics and drive execution, strong sense of vision and leadership.

High adaptability with tolerance for ambiguity, and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders at the highest levels.

1. Create and communicate a unified vision and strategy for market access, aligned with Global and EMEA vision.

2. Lead and manage a team of Market Access functional specialists to ensure flawless implementation of all activities; Lead Payer Management functions dedicated to removing or minimizing funding barriers at regional/local level through a team of Healthcare Access Managers.

3. Scan external environment to identify and analyze trends/changes which will influence access, and their implications for the company.

4. Shape health policy by identifying, building and leveraging strong relationships with key external stakeholders.

5. Ensure creation of integrated market access plans for all key brands within the Brand Planning process.

6. Develop and maintain a seamless interface with EMEA Market Access group to ensure local requirements are represented effectively and early.

7. Ensure full representation and participation of Market Access functions in all country brand teams through nominated local Disease Area Access Leads.

8. Track and evaluate performance of market access campaigns.

9. Manage internal and external pricing interactions. Get approval for optimal price in PAS.

10. Roll-out national programs and ensure EU policy support into national healthcare plans.

11. Execute media communication strategy and plans. Develop communications tools to increase understanding of possible policy interventions.

12. Shape the external environment by partnering and informing patient, media and disease policy advocacy.

13. Manage and leverage media relationships to drive disease awareness and inform health policy, enhancing the environment for the company products.
